Didn't write last night due to no wireless signal. we are in Mound City Mo at a small Super 8 motel. had a great day yesterday, traveled through Indiana, Illinois and most of the way through Missouri.
we stopped at the arch in saint Louis. Raelene and I went up inside and got ( the view from the top). Denny didn't want to try it. we will load some pics tonight when we stop.
travel weather improved as the day went on. we stopped in St Joe and went down town. can't believe it, it was like a ghost town, seems like as soon as the museums close for the day, the whole town locks up. we saw Jesse James home where he was shot, the fire museum and a few others. i also got to show Raelene and Denny the stock yards in st joe where they used to take the cattle on the huge cattle drives. the Hoof and Horn restaurant that I went to when i was here before on company buisness burnt in a fire, was not reopened yet.
we traveled about 30 or so miles outside of st Joe and stayed here in Mound City.
Total miles for the day was around 597. we are sitting at 1260 miles total for the trip so far.
today we are off to south Dakota. talk to ya later, gotta sattle up.

sounds like you stayed in the same super 8 as we did. can't be more than 1 in mound city. your saddling up earlier than we did. keep them moving road capt. Karen
ReplyDeleteYour hinneys must be hurtin and legs stiff. what alot of miles i would have to have dave stop every 1 1/2 hrs. for me to potty:)!!!! What fun u guys r having. safe journey.
